This store is on the east side of Hwy71, looking west, in Grandview MO, south suburban KC.
It shows that it was converted to a Denny's for a time, and now serves the cuisine of Taiwan. It still has the Denny's Diner brushed stainless steel door, with half moon glass. And few active Perkins restaurants still have these can lights under the soffit.
But the changes to the Taiwanese place are pretty wild. Be careful or you'll have corneal scarring. RETAIL MEMORIES! (On Hiatus) on Flickr: Posted a Photo
Probably Midas Muffler shop.
When I discovered Truman Corners, a number of years ago, it was not this desolate.
But it immediately reminded me of the Southgate Shopping Center, in Colorado Springs, home to the Southgate SEARS store where my dad worked for 16 and a-half years. RETAIL MEMORIES! (On Hiatus) on Flickr: Posted a Photo

Osco Drug sign bears the label scar. I am told this may have been the former Milgram Foods store, as well. Seems small to me, to have been a food store, but then, food stores weren't always as large as they are now.
